This course is aimed at helping students develop their reading abilities in dealing with various reading topics, passage types, and reading question types.

At the end of the course, students are expected to be able to differentiate and determine topic, main idea and supporting details; utilize skimming for specific information; make inferences; understand patterns of organization like listing, order, cause-effect, and comparison-contras; and elicit information from graphs and charts. In order to have the scholar's ability in engaging scientific papers and other scientific literature that can be used to help the students processing their active cognition for the academic tasks.
